Every year, my husband leaves for Spring Training in Arizona. Of course, this means Jackson and I get to go visit him and enjoy the warm weather by going to baseball games, sitting by the pool, and exploring new places. Packing for these trips can be challenging since the weather is so much warmer than we are accustomed to.
Packing Details
Caitlin: Boyfriend shorts | Crochet Tank in white | Tie Waist Shirt Dress in blue stripe | Capri Sandal in nude | Striped Clutch
Jackson: French Terry Sweatshirt in heather grey | Striped Chambray One-Piece | Plaid Poplin Pullover | French Terry Striped Knit Top | Drawstring Jean Shorts | Sueded Sandals in goodnight nora
This year, my packing started to take shape when I went to Old Navy to pick up sandals for my son. Let me tell you, I ended up picking up much more than just a pair of sandals. Before I knew it, my cart was filled with adorable shorts, t-shirts, sandals, and button downs. As I looked at what I had chosen for Jackson, everything was blue and white – my favorite go-to colors for summer.
Before I left the store, I had both clothes for him, as well as clothes for myself. I look forward to our “Mini Me” wardrobe – I also ended up with all of my choices in blue and white. There is nothing I love better than stripes and faded blue jeans for our more relaxed season of summer. I found comfortable dresses, boho embroidery tops, and jean shorts that will be my go-to in Arizona as well as this summer. Jackson and I will be able to look great with effortless clothing that looks both fresh as well as a bit preppy.

I have always found choosing my wardrobe for a trip to be a fun and yet challenging task. One tip I have found that help my packing easier, is to chose colors in the same family and stick to them. In the winter I turn to neutrals and in the summer, blue and white are the perfect combination. You don’t have to break the bank to look good – just put a little planning into what you buy!
Head over to Old Navy and not only will you find great clothes for you and your little one, you also won’t break the bank buying them. Happy shopping!
