What happens when two shoe designers who have dreamt of starting their own line meet? In this case, it’s Freda Salvador. The brainchild of friends Megan Papay and Cristina Palomo originally met as former designers at Anyi Lu. They instantly bonded after working together. Their debut collection just launched into stores this fall and believe me when I say that every design is stunning. The wearable designs will have you wanting multiples of each, which include flat booties, equestrian-inspired boots, and oxford-loafer hybrids that feature removable vamps (a favorite of mine, if I HAD to choose). When asked to describe the Freda Salvador shoe both say “classic styles but with a bit of an edge.”
The two creative’s invited me over to their beautiful Sausalito studio to get a glimpse into their workspace – it’s fun, inspiring and it doesn’t hurt that the view is of the bay. As you walk into their studio you don’t know what to take in first – the shoes, the vintage furniture or their custom etsy sign that is glowing. Take a seat, get inspired and enjoy their interview and images of their workspace.
You can find Freda Salvador shoes at La Boutique in San Francisco, Saks and online on ShopBop.
Hope you enjoyed getting an inside look into this beautiful workspace. If you have a inspiring individual that you’d like to see featured in this workspace series email me with a little description about why you think they should be featured.
