Thanksgiving: One Stop at Marin Country Mart

I have to admit. Although I’m a city girl at heart, I always seem to find a reason to venture across the bay to Marin. A week rarely goes by where you don’t find me running errands, having lunch with friends, or meeting with clients. One of my go-to places is Marin Country Mart. Located in Larkspur, there is the perfect collection of stores, restaurants, and open space that make it a great place to go with kids or solo. In the summer, I love the open spaces and outdoor seating scattered throughout. In the winter, I always look forward to the outdoor holiday markets. There is always a reason to head to Marin Country Mart!

Thanksgiving is no exception. You can take care of all of your shopping needs here. I have compiled a sample of the great ways you can make your holiday easier, all at the same destination.

Next, I would head toFisher’s Wine & Cheese. Pick up a selection of cheese, and a few accessories to go along with it. I chose dried apples, cheese, bourbon barrel chocolate, and a bottle of wine. Who wouldn’t appreciate all of these goodies!

If you are hosting Thanksgiving dinner, here are the places I would be sure to visit and make my preparation time much shorter:

  • Belcampo has all of your needs for the Thanksgiving table. You can buy a variety of turkeys to bake – smoked, white, or heirloom. And if you would rather enjoy your company, consider picking up your side dishes already prepared. I picked up sweet potatoes, roasted root vegetables, brussel sprouts with bacon, gravy, and cranberry sauce. This will make your dinner easier and leave you with the energy to enjoy friends and family.

  • Rustic Bakery is the perfect place to buy your baked goods. Their pies are not only delicious, they are also the most beautiful pies you’ve ever seen. You can also chose some pastries for the morning or rolls for your dinner.

  • Finally, the last place to stop is Three Twins Ice Cream. I got salted caramel ice cream (my husband’s favorite). Served with the pumpkin pie or alone, it is dreamy.

Of course, it’s also nice to have a warm cozy sweater for the special celebration. I picked out a hand knitted sweater at Erica Tanov. I worked for Erica while I was in college and the quality of her clothing and home wares make them timeless and collector items. I have several of her stunning jackets and they have stood the test of time. I never tire of them.
