On the Menu: Berry Power Smoothie

After all of the delicious holiday meals and sweets I’m starting the new year with some healthy go-to recipes that will give me a bit of a boost. This smoothie by Susan of Peas and Love will surely get you back on track after all of those decadent indulgences!

I never leave the house in the mornings without a smoothie-in-hand to get me going for the day. This is super easy to make and only takes a couple minutes. The best part is this recipe makes enough for two so you can share with your sweetie (or kiddo) and the both of you can start the day off right. If it doesn’t hold you over until lunch time as it does for me, it will surely give you the power and energy to get you through those morning meetings.

Berry Power Smoothie (for two!)

Ingredients

1/2 cup Frozen Organic Blueberries

1/2 cup Frozen Organic Spinach

1 Banana

1 1/2 cup Almond Milk

1 Tbsp Ground Flax Meal (get your omega’s!)

Directions

Blend all ingredients together until rich and smooth, adding more milk if necessary to achieve desired consistency. Pour into two mason jars (one for you, one for  your sweetie) and ride off into the day. Go get em!

* You can always store the second smoothie in your fridge for the next day or for a snack after work.
